Programs for Education Advancement
Eligibility Requirements
The Wesleyan educational assistance benefit covers employees who are working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree program at another institution. Employees whose FTE is at least .75 are eligible to be reimbursed for up to $1,500 per year for successful completion of up to two courses per semester at other accredited colleges and universities (the year is based on the fiscal year when the course(s) begin). Reimbursement is limited if tuition is reimbursed by other assistance (e.g., GI Bill®, research grant, fellowship, etc.). Additionally, the costs of books, other course materials, parking, and graduation expenses are not covered.
Application Process
To be eligible for reimbursement, please complete an application, which must be approved by your supervisor and submitted to Human Resources prior to course enrollment. A fee schedule must be provided along with the application form.
Reimbursement Process
As soon as possible after the course(s) has been completed, proof of payment and grade reports, evaluations, or transcripts indicating successful completion must be submitted to Human Resources at benefits@wesleyan.edu.
Represented employees covered by contracts have a similar benefit and must follow the same process.
