Wesleyan Mortgage Program
Wesleyan provides first mortgage assistance on residential properties for the purpose of supporting and encouraging faculty on at least three-quarters time appointments (excluding visitors and retired staff), staff, and professional librarians, to secure home ownership within reasonable commuting distance of the campus, subject to the conditions set forth below. The mortgaged residence must be within a 25 aerial mile radius of the campus. The Mortgage Assistance Benefit is taxable to the employee.

Wesleyan owns and maintains a limited amount of rental housing units near the campus for the purpose of providing transitional living space for newly appointed faculty, staff and professional librarians who relocate at the time of their initial appointment at the University.

Faculty and Staff Relocation Policy
New staff, with a minimum of a one-year appointment, are provided relocation assistance for eligible expenses if they relocate at least 50 miles to accept their position at the University.
