Wesleyan Fund Volunteer Job Descriptions
Wesleyan Fund Volunteer Leadership Committee member, Wesleyan Fund National Committee
Minimum two-year commitment; may be extended if agreeable
- Support Wesleyan Fund Chair, Vice Chair and staff in developing strategies for reaching annual Wesleyan Fund fundraising and alumni participation goals.
- Serve as a member of one Ad Hoc Working Group to address a specific Wesleyan Fund priority.
- Attend WFNC Volunteer Leadership Committee meetings (three times per year) and/or conference calls.
- Make an early leadership gift commitment every year and work with others on the Volunteer Leadership Committee to educate volunteers about the importance of leadership support ($250 or $500 for GOLD alumni; $1,831 or more for others).
Class Agent, Wesleyan Fund Committee
Five-year commitment or until next reunion
- Support Wesleyan Fund Chair, Vice Chair and staff, and lead other class volunteers, in developing strategies for reaching annual class fundraising and alumni participation goals.
- Ensure that class volunteers are soliciting 10 to 15 classmates for annual gifts and keep them informed by sharing reports and other appropriate materials.
- Attend regional meetings with fellow Class Agents and Associate Agents, such as Wesleyan Fund National Committee meetings in New York (three times per year) and/or volunteer meetings on campus (one or two times per year).
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to incoming Agents and Associate Agents.
- Make an early leadership gift commitment every year ($250 or $500 for GOLD alumni; $1,831 or more for others).
Class Associate Agent
Five-year commitment or until next reunion
- Support Class Agents in developing strategies for reaching annual class fundraising and alumni participation goals.
- Solicit 10 to 15 classmates for annual gifts.
- Participate in regional meetings with fellow Class Agents and Associate Agents, such as Wesleyan Fund National Committee meetings off-campus (three times per year) and/or volunteer meetings on campus (one or two times per year).
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to incoming Associate Agents.
- Make an early leadership gift commitment every year ($250 or $500 for GOLD alumni; $1,831 or more for others).
