YEAR FOUR: Find Your Lane
Class of 2021, we encourage you to use your fourth year as alums to start honing and specifying where your Wesleyan passions lie. Where would you like to dedicate more of your time?
-
Begin a Specific Volunteer Journey
Do you love attending regional events and recognizing familiar Wesleyan faces wherever you go? Maybe you’d like to become a dedicated Regional Representative. Do you love spending time with alumni who share what you feel is an integral part of your identity? Maybe you’d like to join the council of one of our Affinity Networks. Wherever your passions lie, there’s a volunteer track for you. Ready to talk possibilities? Schedule a time with a staff member by emailing us at alumni@wesleyan.edu. -
Assess the Ways You Give Back
Maybe you have more time available to you than treasure, or maybe the opposite. Maybe you have little time or treasure to spare right now! Evaluate what fits best with your life right now and pursue an engagement path which suits that. -
Talk with Classmates About It
Share the engagement journey you’re on with anyone who will listen. We all know that enthusiasm is contagious, so please share yours with your classmates. -
Make Your Fourth (or first!) Gift
We hope you’ll make a gift to any part of Wesleyan that matters most to you! We celebrate any and every gift, but if you’re unsure of where to designate your gift, “Wesleyan’s Greatest Need” provides the school with the flexibility to spend your gift where students need it most. -
Vote for Alumni-Elected Trustees
Every year, Wesleyan’s Alumni Association elects three new members to the Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term. You had the opportunity to vote this past spring – let's make it an annual habit. These trustees help to influence the overall direction of alma mater. -
Attend a GOLD Party
Each year, we hold simultaneous GOLD parties in our major markets—usually on the first Thursday of April. This year our Graduates of the Last Decade will gather on Thursday, April 3, 2025, for parties in Boston, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. This event is not to be missed!
