YEAR THREE: Explore Volunteer Roles
Class of 2022, we encourage you to use your third year as alums to start learning about the ways you can volunteer for Wesleyan and begin a journey of engaged philanthropy with us.
-
Dabble in Micro-Volunteering
Consider one-off ways in which you can give back to Wes without ongoing commitment. Perhaps you’d like to host a Wesleyan Social Meet Up as part of Engagement Month in February, or you’d like to help boost attendance at this year’s GOLD party in your city. Maybe you’re even in a position to host an event for us that you think would be of interest to your community. -
Learn About WAAV, GCC and Class Ambassador Roles
Whether you’re passionate about Wesleyan’s continuing effort to build ever-more diverse and impressive classes, helping other alumni find or navigate their careers, or ensuring that your classmates at large stay connected not only with Wesleyan as an institution, but with their classmates as well – here's where you can learn how to cultivate your involvement in each of these passions. -
Make Your Third (or first!) Gift
We hope you’ll make a gift to any part of Wesleyan that matters most to you! We celebrate any and every gift. If you’re unsure of where to designate your gift, “Wesleyan’s Greatest Need” provides the school with the flexibility to spend your gift where students need it most. -
Vote for Alumni-Elected Trustees
Every year, Wesleyan’s Alumni Association elects three new members to the Board of Trustees to serve a three-year term. You had the opportunity to vote this past spring – let's make it an annual habit. These trustees help to influence the overall direction of alma mater. -
Attend a GOLD Party
Each year, we hold simultaneous GOLD parties in our major markets—usually on the first Thursday of April. This year our Graduates of the Last Decade will gather on Thursday, April 3, 2025, for parties in Boston, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. This event is not to be missed!
