    A chance for any Wes Alums—not just Theater and Film/TV Industry pros—to gather, share a drink and chat about entertainment, the arts or whatever the heck you are doing in Los Angeles! The Plunge is L.A.'s only "theater bar,” located in The Broadwater Theaters in Hollywood. The Broadwater is managed by Sacred Fools Theater Company, for which Bruno Oliver ’88 is a board member, manager, producer, and every now and then for old time's sake... the bartender.

    Have you ever tried curling? Neither have we! Come join other Wes alums for an hour or so of private group instruction followed by a beer at a nearby airport hotel bar! Yes, you're reading this right: curling, the sweeping, on-ice Olympic sport that is apparently very easy to learn and fun to play. All are welcome by beginners are encouraged to attend! 

    Please note that registering here is required but registrants also need to pay $45 for the group lesson (includes equipment, instructors, ice time) through the curling club.

    Let’s meet up at the ASU Art Museum for a group tour of the exhibitions and an opportunity to build connection among the Wesleyan Phoenix community. Please wear red and black and plan to meet in the front lobby at 3:00 pm. Please note: complimentary parking is available in front of the ASU Art Museum in ASU Lot 9, located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street. Visitors using museum spaces must sign in at the front desk in the lobby of the ASU Art Museum. Please take a picture of your license plate and bring to the front desk. Short-term paid parking is available in the 10th Street Parking Garage across the street from the museum and in ASU Lot 3 near Gammage Parkway.

    Wesleyan alums and their friends of all ages are invited to meet up for a walk in the Hampton-Beecher Nature Preserve in the heart of southwest Atlanta. This 100+ acre nature preserve is home to a wide variety of plant and animal life. There are three champion trees in the park: a sugar maple, an umbrella magnolia, and a tulip poplar. We'll work up an appetite and then head to Jamal's Chicken Wings for the best lemon pepper wings (wet, all flat) in Atlanta.

    Wesleyan Social Meetup: Raleigh Exhibit Tour at Dix Park

    Join fellow Wesleyan alumni at Dix Park as we explore a curated Black History Month artist exhibition showcasing the best talent of 2025 from across the state. Presented in partnership with Raleigh Film and Art Festival, this riveting month-long display of visual art representing the experience of people of color living in the south. Enjoy an array of spectacular pieces by professional and student artists. Attendees will be able to enjoy drinks and light hors d'oeuvres, a spoken work feature performance, a fifteen minute live theatrical dance performance, and time to mix and mingle with other Wesleyan attendees alongside live music.

    Wesleyan Social Meetup: New Jersey Reception and Talk, "What is New Orleans?"

    Princeton's Associate Professor of African American Studies, Joshua Guild '96, will talk about the history of what has been described as an "impossible but inevitable city" over three centuries. Settled on perpetually shifting swampland at the foot of one of the world's greatest waterways, this port city served as an outpost of three empires and a gateway linking the North American heartland with the Gulf Coast, Caribbean, and Atlantic World. From European and African settlement through the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we will consider how race, culture, and the environment have defined the history of the city and its people.

    There will be time to connect with fellow Cardinals over New Orleans-inspired nibbles and drinks. Remarks by Joshua Guild '96 and reception hosted by Livia Wong McCarthy '81.

    Wesleyan Social Meetup: Produce Party in the Bronx

    Wesleyan alumni will collaborate with Grassroots Grocery, a nonprofit that strives to build a network of neighbors helping neighbors. At this meetup, Wesleyan alumni will help pack and distribute fresh produce to community pantries and fridges in Harlem and the Bronx. This will be a Wesleyan Produce Party, with music and a great vibe as we prepare the weekly harvest. Wesleyan families and friends are all welcome, and if you have a car, please consider volunteering as a driver to help deliver fresh produce to where these communities need it most!
