Lab Coat Tie Dye Event
Headed by three majors, the Free Radicals gather together biweekly for social events. Some events consist of luncheons with science-themed trivia and others consist of information panels to find out about research opportunities or other unique academic opportunities. Arguably the most fun (and colorful) event of the fall semester is the annual lab coat tie dye event (pictured below). Students get together on a sunny day outside of Hall-Atwater Laboratories and tie dye their own lab coat that they can then use for the rest of their time at Wesleyan--whether in a lab class as a teaching assistant or student, or in their research laboratory. The event brings students together outside of the classroom to build comradery within the major and add some much needed color to the lab setting.
