Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote the mental health and well-being of Wesleyan undergraduate and graduate students through the provision of short-term individual and group psychotherapy, outreach, prevention, education, early identification and prevention, and community consultation. Counseling and Psychological Services provides services that are culturally competent and empirically driven. We believe that strong relationships with diverse departments and organizations within the university setting as well as with community providers and organizations are critical to the achievement of this goal. We participate in ongoing needs assessment and program evaluation in order to maintain the quality and relevance of our services. Counseling and Psychological Services utilizes this multifaceted approach in support of Wesleyan's overall mission to build a diverse, energetic community of students, faculty, and staff.
