About Us

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides comprehensive mental health services through multidisciplinary integration with Davison Health Center and WesWell with student authorization. Students who utilize our psychotherapy services may discuss in confidence any worries, distressing feelings, or difficult situations they are currently experiencing. Our goal is to assist students as they navigate through life's challenges within the context of a highly rigorous and demanding academic environment.

The CAPS team is comprised of psychotherapists with varying areas of expertise and theoretical orientations, a postdoctoral fellow, a psychiatric APRN (advanced practice registered nurse), a case manager, and doctoral student trainees, as well as a director, associate director, assistant director, and administrative assistant.  The office provides bi-weekly individual psychotherapy, medication management, therapeutic workshops and groups, consultation, education, and outreach for the Wesleyan community.
