Student Staff Training
Mandatory training is held at the beginning of each semester for all student staff. It is expected that all staff members be present and available throughout training, New Student Orientation, and returning student arrival days.
Fall Semester: Head residents typically return to campus and start fall training three weeks prior to the start of classes. Resident advisors, community advisors and house managers typically return to campus two weeks before the first day of classes.
Spring Semester: Head resident obligations commence approximately two weeks prior to the start classes, the remainder of returning staff are required to participate in training the two full days prior to the start of classes (newly hired spring staff members report back to campus prior to the rest of the RAs, CAs and HMs).
Employment dates are specified in all student staff contracts.
