  • HOW DO I USE MY MEAL PLAN ?
    You must present your Wesleyan ID at each meal.
  • HOW MANY MEALS DO I HAVE ON MY MEAL PLAN ?

    Premier Plan

    Fall semester there are 413 regular meals and 8 guest meals.

    Spring semester there are 413 regular meals and 8 guest meals.

    Intermediate Meal Plan 

    Fall semester there are 282 regular meals and 8 guest meals.

    Spring semester there are 282 regular meals and 8 guest meals.

    All Declining Balance 

    Fall semester there are 30 regular meals and 0 guest meals.

    Spring semester there are 30 regular meals and 0 guest meals.

     

     

     

  • WHERE CAN I USE MY MEALS ?
    Regular and Guest meals can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner,during the week, brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday at the Marketplace at USDAN, as well as weekday lunches and dinners, and Late Night dining at Summerfields. In addition, meal swipes can be used for a meal equivalency pick-up at Pi Cafe, Cafe at USDAN and Weshop. The meals are per semester. Any unused meals will be forfeited if not used by 12/15/24 for first semester and 5/17/25 for second semester.
  • WHAT IS THE BEST USAGE OF MY MEALS ?
    The best use of meals is for dinner followed by lunch as these are the two most expensive meals on campus.
  • HOW MANY REGULAR MEALS CAN I USE PER MEAL PERIOD ?
    Only one  regular meal is used per meal period.
  • HOW MANY GUEST MEALS CAN I USE PER MEAL PERIOD ?
    You have the capability to use one,two, three or all eight at once.
  • WHAT HAPPENS TO MY GUEST MEALS IF I DON'T USE THEM FOR GUESTS ?
    If you do not use your guest meals for guests, you can use them for yourself each semester.
  • CAN I USE MEALS DURING BREAKS ?
    During October break and March break meals, meal plan points, and Middletown Cash is accepted at the on campus food establishments that are open.
  • DO UNUSED MEALS CARRY OVER TO THE FOLLOWING SEMESTER ?
    Meals do not carry over from semester to semester.
  • WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RUN OUT OF MEALS AND YOU STILL WANT TO EAT AT USDAN UNIVERSITY CENTER AT THE MARKETPLACE OR SUMMERFIELDS ?
    If you run out of meals, you can always use your meal plan points, Middletown Cash, credit cards, or debit cards. Prices for the meals using the above forms of tender is posted at the registers.
  • WHEN CAN I CHANGE MY MEAL PLAN ?
    Meal plans may only be changed during the first two weeks of each semester during the change period. Simply go through your e-portfolio under Wesleyan Meal Plan Selection  between 8/26/24-9/13/24 at 11:59 PM for the fall semester and between 1/16/25-2/5/25 at 5:00 PM for the spring semester.
  • WHAT IS THE LAST DAY TO USE MY MEALS AND DECLINING BALANCE POINTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR ?
    Meals are for semester use only. First semester meals expire on December 15, 2024 and second semester meals on May 17, 2025. Unused declining balance points at the end of first semester will roll over for second semester usage on top of the second semester points. The last day to use all meals and points is 5/17/25. Meals and points do not roll over from year to year.
  • WHAT DO I DO WHEN MY DECLINING BALANCE POINTS RUN LOW ?

    You can add additional on-campus meal plan points in $25 increments which will be billed to your student account and will appear on the eAccounts page under Additional Meal Plan Points. Simply go to WesPortal/Offices + Services/WesCard/Add Meal Points and follow the directions to add your points.  The last day to add additional on-campus meal plan points and have them billed to your student account is 5/7/25. Unused additional on-campus meal plan points at the end of first semester will roll over for second semester usage. The last day to use all additional on-campus meal plan points is 5/17/25. Additional on-campus  meal plan points do not roll over from year to year only Middletown Cash does. You may also add Middletown Cash on the eAccounts page above, which can be used both on campus as well as off campus at participating downtown merchants.

  • CAN I TREAT A FRIEND USING MY MEAL PLAN ?
    You may treat a friend using your  eight guest meals per semester if you are on the Premier Plan or Intermediate meal plan or use declining balance points,  Middletown Cash, credit or debit cards. Meal plans and declining balance point plans are for the sole use of the purchaser and are not transferable. You are the only person allowed to use your meal plan.
  • WHERE CAN I FIND OUT HOW MANY MEALS I HAVE LEFT OR USED?
    Each time you scan your card and you use a meal, the cashier can tell you how many meals you have used for the semester on any of the meal plans.  Also you can see your meal usage on line 24 hours a day on the eAccounts page.
  • HOW CAN I CHECK MY DECLINING BALANCE POINTS BALANCE ?
    You can find out your balance from the cashier each time you make a purchase, or even if you do not make a purchase, you can still ask the cashier to check your card to find out your balance. You also can go to the eAccounts page 24 hours a day to view your balance for meals, meal plan points, additional meal plan points and Middletown Cash. You can also view transaction history.
  • CAN MEAL PLAN POINTS BE USED AT OFF-CAMPUS DINING LOCATIONS ?
    No, meal points are solely for use at on-campus dining facilities.  Use your Middletown Cash account to purchase at participating off-campus merchants.
  • WHAT IS THE ORDER OF USAGE FOR MEAL PLAN POINTS AND MIDDLETOWN CASH?
    Your meal plan points are used first then it defaults into any additional meal plan points that you have purchased and then finally into the Middletown Cash Program so you can eat uninteruppted.  If you did not purchase any additional meal plan points then it will automatically default into the Middletown Cash Program
