Course Selection and Registration
Whether you are exploring all areas, have started to focus on a particular major, or are beginning to evaluate your options beyond graduation, there are Advising Resources available, as well as additional information online, which can help you with selecting and registering for courses.
Advising Resources
YOUR FACULTY ADVISOR
The goal of the Faculty Advising Program is to help Wesleyan students acquire, by the end of their undergraduate career, a strong foundation in the liberal arts and the skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Contact information for your faculty advisor can be found in your student portal; contact your faculty advisor any time you have questions about your academic career.
CLASS DEANS
Class deans are available to help students develop educational goals and complete their graduation requirements. They facilitate student access to academic and non-academic support services, and support student transitions from high school, through the undergraduate years, to life post-Wesleyan. Class deans have daily drop-in hours Monday - Friday, and are also available for appointments. The class blogs are also an important resource providing you with links to valuable resources.
ACADEMIC PEER ADVISORS
Academic Peer Advisors are available to assist with understanding and navigating university processes such as course planning and the registration process. Visit the Meet the Peer Advisors Page and reach out to a peer advisor you would like to connect with, or email peeradvisors@wesleyan.edu with your questions, and a peer advisor will contact you.
GORDON CAREER CENTER
The Gordon Career Center works with students of all class years; Career Advisors are available to meet with students to explore their interests, personality, skills, and experiences to identify potential career options that fit their unique profile. Additional career resources are available whether you are exploring your options at Wesleyan, ready to look for an internship or job, or want to discuss post-Wesleyan educational opportunities.
