Retirement Savings Benefits

Here is an overview:

  • Basic Retirement Plan - Wesleyan makes retirement plan contributions on your behalf.    All Faculty who work at least half time (.5 FTE or more) and share  appointments for more than one year may participate.
  • Supplemental Retirement Plan -  You make contributions to an account either on a pre-tax or after-tax basis.  
    All Faculty may participate.

  • Employer Matching Contributions - Wesleyan makes an additional contribution to the Basic Retirement Plan if you contribute to the Supplemental Retirement  Plan.    All Faculty enrolled in the Basic Retirement Plan may participate.
