- IMPORTANT MEAL PLAN ANNOUNCEMENTS
THE MEAL PLAN SELECTION MODULE IS BACK IN YOUR WESPORTAL AS OF 6/3/24 TO CHANGE YOUR MEAL PLAN FOR FALL SEMESTER. YOU HAVE UNTIL 9/13/24 AT 5:00 PM TO CHANGE YOUR MEAL PLAN FOR FALL SEMESTER . THESE DATES CORRESPONDS WITH THE DROP/ADD PERIOD FOR CLASSES.
The first day to use your meals and declining balance points for the fall semester is 8/26/24 and for the spring semester it is 1/21/25.
You may change your fall semester meal plan from 8/26/24-9/13/24 and your spring semester meal plan from 1/16/25-2/5/25 .The last day to add additional meal plan points and have them billed to your student account is Wednesday, May 7, 2025
The last day to use both meals and declining balance points is 5/17/25. Unused meals and declining balance points are nonrefundable and cannot be transferred to the new academic year.
- MEAL PLAN INFORMATION
Each semester, all Wesleyan students are required to be on one of the meal plans offered for their class year. The meal plan is covered under the Food and Housing cost that was charged on the student account.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, the Freshman default meal plan is the Premier Plan which includes all meals offered as well as $ 260.00 in meal plan points. Sophomores default meal plan is the Intermediate Meal Plan with $ 520.00 in meal plan points but can also select the Premier Plan. Juniors and Seniors will default to the all points plan with 30 meals attached which also contains $ 2260 in points per semester, however they may also select the Premier Plan or the Intermediate Meal Plan instead.
If a student elects to choose the plan that is not their class year default, they must do so no later than 9/13/24 at 5:00 pm. Frosh cannot select a different plan.
Meal Information
Meals offered are breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday at the Marketplace at Usdan, as well as weekday lunches and dinners and late night dining at Summerfields. in addition, meal swipes can be used for a meal equivalency at the Cafe at USDAN for breakfast and lunch, at Pi Cafe, the Cardinal Cafe in Freeman Athletics, for lunch and dinners and Weshop for lunch. The meals are per semester. Any unused meals will be forfeited if not used by 12/15/24 for first semester and 5/17/25 for second semester.
Declining Balance Points Information
The total amount of declining balance points that comes with the meal plan is on the WesCard upon arrival on campus and declines as it is used. How the meal plan points are used and how much is used is determined by the individual student. Meal plan points may be used at any dining establishment that is part of the Campus Dining Program, which consists of Usdan Cafe, Pi Cafe, Red & Black Cafe, Espwesso Cafe, Star & Crescent, Summerfields, Weshop Convenience Store,WesWings, Story and Soil and Cardinal Cafe. Unused declining balance points left from first semester will roll over on top of the second semester declining balance points. The last day to use all declining balance points is 5/17/25. Unused points do not transfer from year to year.
- MEAL PLANS OFFERED
First Year have access to the Premier Plan only.
Sophomores can choose between the Premier Plan with $ 260.00 in meal plan points or the Intermediate Meal Plan with $ 520.00 in meal plan points. The default meal plan for the Sophomores is the Intermediate Meal Plan unless another choice is made in their WesPortal.
Juniors and Seniors can choose between the Pemier Plan, the Intermediate Meal Plan or the All Declining Balance Plan with 30 meals attached.The default meal plan for all Juniors and Seniors is the All Declining Balance Plan unless another choice is made in their WesPortal .
Premier Plan
This plan offers access to every meal served on campus. Students may swipe once per meal period. Includes 8 guest meals; with $ 260.00 in meal plan points each semester.
Intermediate Meal Plan
This plan offers 282 regular meals and 8 guest meals each semester. This plan also comes with $ 520.00 in meal plan points each semester. Students may swipe once per meal period.
All Declining Balance Plan
This is available for Juniors and Seniors only. This plan offers $ 2260.00 in declining balance points per semester with 30 regular meals and no guest meals.
For the second semester, all students will default to the meal plan they were on at the end of the first semester unless they chose another meal plan through their WesPortal during the two week change period.
Meal plan changes are pro-rated by the number of meals and points used.
Meal plan costs are part of the Food and Housing cost on the student account.
