Graduation Tasks

I. Diploma Name

To ensure your name is spelled correctly on your diploma, confirm or update and then confirm your diploma name. The diploma name will appear on your diploma, the commencement program, and on your lineup card which is read during the commencement ceremony.

If your name contains special characters or accents, confirm the spelling of your name without the characters or accents. After you confirm the spelling of your name, fill out the Special Character Diploma Name Confirmation Form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office (North College 1st floor).

The deadline to update your diploma name for Commencement 2025 is 3:00pm on Friday, April 18. Name changes cannot be accommodated after this deadline.

II. Graduation Regalia (Caps and Gowns) 

TO PURCHASE:

Undergraduate students can purchase cap and gown regalia via credit card from the Oak Hall website starting Monday 2/10/2025. Orders must be must be submitted by Wednesday 3/26/2025. Undergraduates should choose the Bachelor package. 

All Bachelor regalia will be shipped to the RJ Julia Bookstore and will be available for pick up starting Monday 5/12/2025.

TO RENT:
Students may reserve a cap and gown by filling out this form at any time. Rentals are FREE while reserves last and will be picked up in Usdan in May. Rental students will receive a pickup reminder at the beginning of May. Rentals do not come with a tassel. 2025 tassels may be purchased at the Campus Store after pick-up. Rental sizes are limited. 

 

Rentals should be returned to the Usdan Complex in the large boxes that say "Rental Returns and Cap/Gown donations." The boxes will be outside Usdan for the week after graduation, penidng weather (otherwise, they will be located inside the building during business hours).
