What do you love about Wesleyan?
As a NESCAC alum myself, I highly regard Wesleyan’s liberal arts curriculum. The liberal arts not only foster critical and creative thinking but instill a love for learning that makes any challenge surmountable. I am always energized by the vibrancy of the campus – it is a special place to come to work everyday. Whether it be through the Investment Office’s internship program or through a chance meeting at the dining hall, I am always amazed by my interactions with Wesleyan’s students. It is clear that Wesleyan nurtures critical thinkers that want to make a difference in the world.
What inspires you?
I care about constantly learning, taking on new challenges, and becoming a better version of myself. The Investments Office is a unique seat to view the world from. I am inspired by the investment managers and thought leaders that I engage with as part of my work at the Investments Office. I gain insight from their perspectives and expertise and try to challenge them whenever possible. We live in a complex world, and it is inspiring to be exposed to ideas that are trying to solve problems and creating impactful change.
What do you do for fun?
I love keeping active! Sport has played a big role in my life and most of my free time is spent playing tennis, squash, volleyball, or cricket. I love hiking and, recently, I have taken up golf. When not physically active, I try to keep myself mentally active. I enjoy reading and I regularly play poker and chess.
