  • Registration

    Online registration will open in late September, and all guests should register for the weekend. Events are free for alumni and families, and meals are additional except as noted for students with meal plans. Advance registration is highly recommended to ensure availability. Online registration will close on October 24.

    Refunds: requests for refunds can be made up until October 24 by emailing hcfw@wesleyan.edu

    Upon arrival to campus, please visit the Welcome + Giving Center in the Office of Admission to check-in or register on-site and pick up your weekend packet, including pre-purchased meal tickets.

    Friday, November 1: 9:30–8 p.m.
    Saturday, November 2: 9–4 p.m.

  • Campus Parking

    We do our best to accommodate the larger crowds on campus during the weekend, but please expect delays and plan accordingly. Several visitor parking lots are available for those traveling to campus, and street parking is available in selected locations. Additional parking lots may be available for special events: please check the posted “event parking” signs.

  • Campus Emergencies

    The Office of Public Safety, located at 208 High Street, is the central emergency reporting center for the University. In the event of a life-threatening emergency call 911. For all other emergencies contact the Office of Public Safety at 860-685-3333. For non-emergencies please contact the Office of Public Safety at 860-685-2345.

    In an effort to provide timely notice and in the event of a serious incident which may pose a threat to members of the Wesleyan community, Homecoming + Family Weekend registrants were asked on the registration form to provide a phone number that can accept emergency notification text messages. We also encourage attendees to view the Wesleyan homepage for any communication updates in the unlikely event of a campus emergency situation.

    During Homecoming + Family Weekend the following buildings will be open extended hours, should the campus community be asked to shelter in place:

    Frank Center for Public Affairs, open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. daily

    Usdan University Center, open 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. Friday + Saturday, and 8 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday

    Fayerweather, open 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. Friday + Saturday, and 8 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday

    Memorial Chapel, open 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. Friday + Saturday, and 8 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday

  • Meals

    Meals will be offered in the Marketplace in the Usdan University Center. Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, and Sunday brunch. Students do not need to purchase tickets for Marketplace meals as they can use a meal swipe. To ensure availability, it is highly encouraged you purchase your meal tickets in advance when you register for the weekend by October 24. A limited number of meals may be available to purchase onsite from the cashier just outside of the Marketplace. 

    Other meals offered not in the Markeplace require all attendees, including students, to purchase a ticket using the online registration form. If available these meal tickets will be sold at the Welcome + Giving Center during the weekend. 

    You may also choose to dine at one of the many restaurants in downtown Middletown.

     

  • Bottled Water

    Wesleyan is a bottled water-free campus. Bottled water is not sold in campus dining facilities or vending machines. We ask that you help us in maintaining our bottled water-free campus and bring a reusable bottle to Homecoming/Family Weekend, which you can fill at one of the many water fountains and bottle filling stations on campus.

  • Pets on Campus

    Pets are not allowed in any University building, however service dogs are exempt from the restrictions of this policy. Pets must be on a leash and under control at all times when on campus. Pets shall not be tied to trees or signposts. Pets are not allowed on athletic fields or in gardens at any time, even if leashed. Pets are allowed in the parking/fan area on Andrus Field but are not permitted in the bleacher area. Owners must remove all waste. Owners are responsible for any property damage or injury to others.

  • Accessibility

    The University is committed to full access and reasonable accommodations for all people. Please let us know by October 24 if you or your guests have a request. Contact the Alumni & Parent Relations team at hcfw@wesleyan.edu to make arrangements. Visitors needing accessible parking may utilize any of the designated spaces on campus with a properly displayed state-issued plate or placard from any state.

    One of Connecticut’s distinguishing characteristics is its mix of historic charm and modern amenities. Aptly-named Middletown is positioned in the center of it all, a stone’s throw from iconic sites like Gillette Castle and the Goodspeed Opera House.

  • On-Campus Shuttles

    Shuttles (mini-vans) will run regularly between campus parking lots. The shuttle loop includes the following:

    • Wyllys Avenue: Registration, Usdan University Center, and North College Row
    • Church Street: Olin Library, Exley Science Center, Clark Hall, Judd Hall
    • Freeman Athletic Center: Cross Street Entrance
    • Vine Street Parking Lot
    • Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore

    Shuttle hours are:

    • Friday, November 1: 2–7 p.m.
    • Saturday, November 2: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
    • Sunday, November 3: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

    During shuttle hours guests may call to request a ride on-campus by calling 860-982-8031. Please note that shuttles only run on-campus and will not take guests to off-campus locations. 

  • WESeminars

    WESeminars provide opportunities to revisit the classroom and experience firsthand the academic excellence that is the essence of Wesleyan, with presentations by scholars, pundits, and other experts in their fields. Programs run approximately 60 minutes, typically followed by audience Q&A. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and because of the state fire code, the University is unable to offer standing room space on the floors or aisles of venues.

  • Box Office

    Tickets for Center for the Arts (CFA) events are available online through the University Box Office, on the first floor of the Usdan University Center, and at (860) 685-3355. Each performance requiring tickets through the box office is noted in this schedule. Seating is limited and many performances sell out in advance.   • Lost and Found

    The campus-wide Lost & Found is relocated at Public Safety. If you lose an item or come across something that was left behind by someone else, please go to the Public Safety Office at 208 High Street or call (860) 685-2535.

  • Wireless Access on Campus

    Guests may obtain access via a self-registration page that is presented upon connecting to the Wes-Guest network. Follow these instructions for accessing Wesleyan's guest network. You will request an account using an email address and optional cell phone number where a username and password will be sent. Guest accounts will be valid for 72 hours. Guests on campus longer than that may register as often as needed.

  • Photos and Video

    University staff will take photos and video throughout the weekend and may publish them in any format or media without additional permission from the individuals in the photos or videos.
