MSDS Links
Material safety data sheets (MSDS) are required by law to be provided by manufacturers or vendors of products containing hazardous materials. MSDS information will include information such as chemical composition, exposure limits, potential health effects, first aid procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, and spill/leak procedures.
MSDSs may be obtained in the following manner:
- They may come with your chemical order.
- Search the links below.
- A collection of MSDS's can be found at the Physical Plant Office, 56 Hamlin Street, 1st floor.
- A collection of MSDS's can be found at the Public Safety Office, 208 High Street.
- You can get them from the manufacturer or vendor. Call or FAX their customer service department. Here's a few for your reference:
- Fisher Scientific: (201)703-3165 Fisher's Fax on Demand System lets you request material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for Fisher chemicals and Acros Organics products--faxing the data back to your fax machine, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call the number listed above, and follow the instructions.
- JT Baker: (908) 859-6974 JT Baker MSDSs are available on their web site. Click on the link, and locate the product of interest. Click on the words "Material Safety Data Sheet" near the end of the catalog product listing.
- Mallinckrodt Laboratories: (800)354-2050 Mallinckrodt Laboratories MSDSs are available on their website. You may search by product number, product name, formula or CAS number.
