A festival of live electronic music together with a symposium. The symposium focused on David Tudor, the composer and pianist whose work exerted an enormous shaping force on performance and the role of technology in performance in the post-War period.

The phrase tuned space was central to David Tudor’s account of Rainforest IV and appears to have been central to his decade long quest to “focus and magnify” the acoustical characteristics of a natural space of limited scale in Island Eye, Island Ear.
