B. Balasubrahmaniyan

B. Balasubrahmaniyan, also known as Balu, is a South Indian Karnatak vocalist and an educator. His research interest focuses on the theoretical and melodic aspects of ancient, medieval, and modern Tamil music. Besides his attention to South Indian classical traditions, he is also interested in North Indian classical, film, and folk music genres in India and the Indian diaspora across the globe.
