Janice Nimura

Janice P. Nimura is the author of The Doctors Blackwell, finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in biography, and Daughters of the Samurai, a 2015 New York Times Notable Book. An archival treasure-seeker, especially of overlooked women's history, she is currently researching Rachel Carson and the women who came before her. Her work has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Bogliasco Center, the Beinecke Library, and Wesleyan's College of the Environment.
