Specifically, in his work he uses traditional and intersectional frameworks to examine (1) how and why an individuals’ group membership shapes responses we receive from others and (2) how identification with one’s group can mitigate or exacerbate the bias we receive from others.
Prior to beginning a postdoctoral position at Wesleyan, Adam earned his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Applied Statistics. He also earned a M.A. in Psychological Science, and a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino.
