Dashboard
The Internationalization Dashboard collects campus-wide activities and events that further the university’s six internationalization themes and their specific goals.
We present here the full Dashboard; it may be easier to make sense of in smaller chunks, for which see the pages devoted to each of the six internationalization themes.
To submit an activity to be included in the dashboard, please click here. Note that "activities" are larger in scope than one-off "events"; see the Glossary below for more explanation. Activities will appear in the online dashboard once they have been reviewed.
To submit a one-off event to be included in the dashboard, please click here. Events will appear in the online dashboard once they have been reviewed.
Glossary
Theme -- refers to the six top-level aims (e.g., Theme 1 is "Promote internationalized student learning through the curriculum")
- Themes were originally established in 2021 (see here) and supplemented in 2022.
- Goals were originally established in 2021 and supplemented in 2022; as our work continues, we revise, add, or eliminate goals as necessary.
- We are looking to include activities that represent expansions or changes to the way we have previously done things, such as adding a course to an academic unit that previously did not cover a given part of the world or global perspective.
- This means that many long-term aspects of the university relevant to internationalization, such as the fact that we offer classes in French or Chinese, will not be listed in the Dashboard unless there is a significant development in that area.
- Activities are larger in scope than one-off "events." A Spanish movie series would be an activity; screening of an individual movie would be an event. Events can be linked to activities.
Events -- refers to individual, one-off happenings like lectures, workshops, or performances.
- Wherever possible, events should be linked to activities, though this can be done behind the scenes by GWC members
- Planned/Possible -- anything from a vague idea to something being actively envisioned, but not yet Underway
- Underway -- things that we have started working working on but not yet launched
- Accomplished -- things that happen and then are done with, even if they have down-stream effects.
- On-Going -- things that we have successfully launched, but have no real end
End Date -- the date that work on the activity ended, often with its accomplishment. The end date for things that are On-Going should be the date of launch.
Contact -- one or more people who are responsible for the activity
