In the solo exhibition Private Figure, interdisciplinary artist Chris Domenick flirts with designed objects that recall domestic interiors, an extension of his studio practice based out of a former Subway restaurant in Canaan, Connecticut. Lamps fill the gallery, displayed as works of art while also filling the space with light. Drawings, prints, fragments of paper, or found imagery are suspended inside of frames that hang on the wall and press the limits of their own decorative nature.

Ten years ago, in January 2015, Parker Ito opened A Lil’ Taste of Cheeto in the Night at Chateau Shatto, Los Angeles. One of those paintings, People tell me everyday that I’m really creative (peace on earth) (A Lil’ Taste of Cheeto in the Night Installation) (2013–2015), is now in the Public Art Collection at Wesleyan University. Ito re-presents this singular work, building a fresh installation around the painting in the North Gallery of the Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery.
