Next in the ongoing series of courses exploring the natural bounties of our miraculous planet (Eat the Planet; Savor the Planet), this course will enable students to experience several time-honored artisanal crafts under the guidance of experts in their respective disciplines. 

 

Ceramic Art I 

Introduction to making pottery: basic wheel-throwing and hand-building

Introduction to making pottery: application of glaze, with background on kiln-firing and composition of glazes
