In William Shakespeare's 16th-century classic A Midsummer Night's Dream, four young lovers tumble into the Athenian forest only to unwittingly find themselves embroiled in the magical, age-old power dynamics governing the fairy kingdom. This Wesleyan production will explore how political turmoil, coming-of-age, and the fantastic elide.Directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater Alex Keegan. Set design by Associate Professor of Theater and Dance Marcela Oteíza. Costume design by Assistant Professor of the Practice in Theater April Hickman. Lighting design by Assistant Professor of the Practice in Theater and Design and Engineering Studies Courtney Gaston. Sound design by Visiting Artist Evdoxia Ragkou.
The production will be 90 minutes long. Recommended for youth from middle school age and up.
