Join Hartford choreographer Deborah Goffe MA ’19 for this participatory workshop around the themes of her new work which explores communal experience. What roles do movement, sound, rhythm, and ritual play in creating the deep, collective experiences we all desire? How do artists make art that bends us towards that experience? In this conversation and light movement workshop, Goffe shares a creative process that draws from her experiences of church, fashion shows, Federico Fellini movies, public performance, and conversations with old friends. Liturgy | Order | Bridge will be performed in the CFA Theater in February 2024, and there will be roles for Wesleyan students to play. Come if you are curious.
