An exchange concert held between Wesleyan University students and TU Berlin students, featuring their projects in an all day/night stream.
The marathon includes fixed media works from Wesleyan Associate Professor of Music Paula Matthusen’s Edgard-Varèse guest professor classes at TU Berlin, as well as a live performance of the Network Music Performance Systems seminar (Henrik von Coler, TU Berlin), and works from the fall 2020 Center for the Humanities seminar (Un)Sound Projections: When Spaces Resist Recording (CHUM 298) taught by Matthusen.
Special guest appearances will be made by the SPLICE Ensemble, among others. The SPLICE Ensemble previously premiered some works by participants in the (Un)Sound Projections seminar during the virtual concert Notation as Transduction on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 1pm. Works from that concert were also aired on WESU Middletown 88.1FM as "unSoundSpaces" on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
