Formed in 2016, the French 75 Dixieland Jazz Band performs hits from 1900 through the ’40s, embracing the New Orleans-inflected sounds of American mavericks such as Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, and Jelly Roll Morton. The Hartford-based ensemble features Seth Bailey on trumpet, John Birt on tenor banjo and vocals, Alex Kollias on clarinet, Private Lessons Teacher Allison Lazur on tuba, and Mark Macksoud on drums and vocals.
