Bread and Puppet Theater was founded in New York City in 1963 before moving to Vermont in 1970. The company champions a visually rich street-theater brand of performance art filled with music, dance, and slapstick, and their shows are political and spectacular, with huge puppets made of paper mache and cardboard. Following the afternoon conversation, the group will perform the Connecticut premiere of The Diagonal Life Circus at 7pm.
