(For) Those We Left Behind: Sharing

Influenced by the repertory work (For) Those We Left Behind by Movement of the People Dance Company, students from the "Repertory and Performance" course (DANC 378) channel their ancestral stories and unanswered questions in a new iteration of this contemporary dance theater piece. The choreography delves into the recognition of our vulnerability, and a surrender into morphing transformations. Students have crafted a visceral multilived experience.

Student collaborators include Jace Arouet '21, Amaya Binns '21, Eric Roe '21, Helena Sanchez '21, and Adriane Tharp '19; guidance by Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance Joya Powell and Assistant Professor of English and African American Studies Ren Ellis Neyra.
