The graduate thesis music recital by J.P.A. Falzone—What is an Apparatus? What is a Weed?—will feature the premiere of a new, large-scale work for a mixed ensemble including mallet instruments, piano, both electric and pipe organs, and strings. This piece synthesizes a number of alternate approaches to form as well as of notational practice.
