Dance to Brooklyn-based collective Nation Beat, whose music melds northeast Brazilian rhythms – maracatu, coco, and forro – with New Orleans second-line funk, rock, jazz, Appalachian music, and country-blues. The band features Artistic Director and founder Scott Kettner on drums, Brazilian vocalist Fabiana Masili, and guitarist Mark Marshall.
 
Nation Beat previously performed as part of the Summer at the CFA Series in July 2009.
