The Wesleyan University Orchestra, under the direction of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Nadya Potemkina, celebrates the centennial of the Van Vleck Observatory, and features the winners of the 2016 Wesleyan University Concerto Competition.
The Wesleyan University Orchestra celebrates the centennial of the Van Vleck Observatory with performances of John Cage’s Atlas Eclipticalis and Gustav Holst’s “Mars” from The Planets. The concert also features the winners of the 2016 Wesleyan University Concerto Competition— Katherine Paterson ’18, soprano, and graduate student Tomasz Arnold, marimba—with music by W. A. Mozart and Ney Rosauro.
