Maria L Sbaraglini

Maria is a Visiting Professor of Biology Labs I at Wesleyan University. She studied Biochemistry at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and then developed her PhD at the National University of La Plata (Argentina). Her research expertise lies in drug discovery, particularly during the pre-clinical stage of the process. Throughout her extensive career in this field, she has worked on various conditions, including diabetes, Chagas disease, and epilepsy, among others.

Maria is genuinely passionate about teaching and learning, and she brings a wealth of experience to her students. She loves helping them develop their ability to express their ideas clearly and confidently, encouraging them to back up their statements with knowledge. Sharing her enthusiasm for biological science with her students is something she truly enjoys!
