My research is in geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology. I study the geometry of spaces with negative curvature and their symmetry groups. My interests include quasi-isometric classification and rigidity, notions of commensurability, group boundaries, and surfaces and 3-manifolds.
After my Ph.D., I spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher in Haifa, Israel, working for a year at the University of Haifa and three years at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. I spent a year at the University of Utah before joining Wesleyan in Fall 2020.
