Our research seeks to understand the fundamental cellular mechanisms that drive chromosome dynamics during the differentiation of sex cells (gametes). We use a combination of classical genetics, molecular biology and high-resolution microscopy (mainly using budding yeast) to discover the players and the mechanisms that mediate meiotic chromosomal events.
