Financial Aid Deadlines

The priority dates for submitting the required financial aid documents are:

Application Process

Documents required before an application for financial aid is considered complete* are:

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
(U.S. citizens and permanent residents) (Wesleyan School Code 001424)

*2025-26 FAFSA will be available December 2024.

2 CSS/PROFILE™ application by the College Board
(Wesleyan Profile School Code 3959)

3 Signed copies of the student’s and parents’ 2023 federal tax returns with all required schedules and W-2s
(These forms are submitted through IDOC, the College Board’s online imaging system)

4 CSS/Noncustodial Parent’s PROFILE form
(first-time applicants only or newly divorced/separated parents of returning students)
  • Note: A signed copy of the noncustodial parent’s 2023 federal tax return with all required schedules and W-2 forms should also be submitted through IDOC, the College Board’s online imaging system. 

5 Signed copies of student's and parents' 2023 partnership or corporate tax return(s), if applicable
(This return is required for parents who are business owners - submitted through IDOC, the  College Board’s online imaging system)

*Students applying for federal student aid ONLY need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Be sure to use Wesleyan University’s Title IV school code (001424).

After reviewing application materials, the Financial Aid Office may determine that additional information is needed.

Application Status - Wescheck Portal

WesCheck is the portal you will use when you apply for admission. You will view the status of your application materials and award notifications in WesCheck. You will remain in WesCheck until the summer before your first semester, when you will migrate to SIMON. We will send you a communication prior to this change. Continuing students view everything through SIMON. 

Satisfactory Academic Progress

To maintain eligibility for financial aid, students must maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP). The Financial Aid Office reviews your academic progress at the end of each semester. You must maintain a minimum GPA and earn enough credits each semester to meet the degree requirements for graduation as defined in the SAP policy. Failure to meet either or both requirements can lead to a warning status for one semester. Students who fail to meet SAP standards by the end of the warning semester must submit an appeal to the Financial Aid Office to determine if a financial aid probation period is possible. Students are not eligible to receive any assistance from the Federal Title IV aid programs or any state aid programs if they fail to meet SAP standards, fail to submit an SAP appeal (if required), and/or fail to receive approval of a submitted SAP appeal.
