SUMMER SESSION DINING

This year, students can use one meal plan for both Session I and Session II!

The dining calendar is much expanded this year. Still, there are dates at the beginning and end of Summer Session where no dining is available. Wesleyan has a limited dining program available during the summer (i.e., no kosher or vegan chef and no dietician/nutritionist services). Summer Session dining consists of a basic buffet so if you have particular food preferences that fall outside of these offerings, please contact the Summer Session office at 860-685-2005 to determine if they can be accommodated.

Meal Plan:

Students may purchase a 25-block ($225) or 50-block ($450) meal plan. Students can also pay cash for meals a la carte (except for weekday breakfast June 4-17).

Getting food / groceries on your own:

  • The Transportation Department offers a free local grocery shuttle service every Sunday from 1:30pm-4:30pm. The van leaves from Usdan to Aldi and Price Chopper and returns.
  • Neon Deli is open during the summer.
  • Aldi is only 1 mile away and reachable on foot.
  • Many stores on Main Street carry groceries – Rite Aid, for instance. It’s 5 blocks away (less than a mile), on Main Street, near Union Street (by the Green).
  • Middletown Transit Bus goes from Washington Street to Price Chopper – Take Route H South. Fare: $1.75 one way (exact change required). For more information go to http://www.middletownareatransit.org/
  • You can also get to grocery stores and restaurants with SPIN rental bikes or Uber
