How to Enroll As a Peer Tutor

Considering joining the ranks of Wesleyan's Peer Tutors?

Looking for a job where you can share your knowledge and connect with students?

Here at Wesleyan, we have a team of almost 100 student tutors who mentor their peers in a variety of subjects. If you're passionate about a specific class or subject area and you enjoy working one-on-one or in small groups of students, then you may be a great fit for the Peer Tutoring team.

If you have worked as a tutor previously and you wish to tutor again this semester please remember that you also need to re-enroll each semester.

Tutors at Wesleyan work 2+ paid hours each week, meeting once or twice a week with each student you tutor* and are able to partake in tutor training and/or tutor certification programs through the Deans' Office.

*please indicate the number of hours you wish to work on the enrollment form.

If you wish to enroll as a peer tutor please complete the below form.

Also, ask a faculty member to fill out the recommendation form.

After completing the Enrollment/Interest form, please set up a time to meet briefly with Dean Patey to discuss your enrollment as a Wesleyan Peer Tutor.

To do so, either stop by during office hours M 2-3pm; T 3-4pm; W 5-7pm; TH 11-noon; F 2-4pm or email lpatey@wesleyan.edu to set up a meeting outside of office hours.
