Accessing Wesleyan Databases from Off Campus
Yes, current Wesleyan students, staff, and faculty can access the Library's online journals and subscription databases from off campus.
How to access indexes, databases, and journal articles from off campus
- Go to the Indexes & Databases page (to search our subscription databases) or the Journal Locator (to search for a journal or newspaper by name).
- Click on the journal or database you wish to access.
- You will be prompted for your Wesleyan username and password. Enter those, and you're in.
- You will not have to log in again for other journals or databases unless you close your browser.
How to access online resources in the library catalog from off campus
The library catalog also lists some online resources, such as e-books and journals.
- Use this link to access the Wesleyan Library Catalog from off-campus.
- Use this link to access E-Reserves from off-campus.
- You will be prompted for your Wesleyan username and password. Enter those, and you're in.
- This will allow you to access any online resources listed in the catalog without being prompted for your password again, unless you close your browser.
Troubleshooting
- For off-campus access to work, your browser must be set to accept cookies. If you get an error message saying that you need to enable cookies, you will need to change your browser settings. How to enable cookies.
- Alumni and former faculty, students, and staff are not provided access to Wesleyan resources from off-campus.
