Group Study Spaces in the Libraries

Group study spaces are available on a first-come first-served basis.  Please be considerate of fellow students.


Group study rooms

  • Floor 3A, room 351 in the east side of the stacks

Group study areas

  • Floor 4 (attic), south side: three tables, each seating four people.
  • Floor 3, front hall, southwest side, outside Scores & Recordings: one table, seating four.
  • Floor 2A, stacks, southwest side near E classification: two tables, one seats four, the other six.
  • Floor 1A, stacks, northwest side: one table, seats 4.

Sci Li

Group study rooms

Sci Li group study rooms are available on a walk-in basis or can be reserved by contacting Linda Hurteau (x3728 or Reservations are recommended for uses such as proctoring exams or offering formal study groups. 

  • Second floor: 3 group study rooms
  • Main floor: Science Library Conference Room available when not in use by the Math Workshop.  Ask for the key at the Sci Li circulation desk.  (please note this room is used by the Math Workshop Mon–Thur 2:30–10 pm, and Sunday 7-10pm)
  • Lower level: 4 group study rooms (please note that one group study room is used by the Writing Workshop Sunday-Thursday 7-11pm)

At times group study rooms may be booked for proctoring exams and mentored study groups.

Independent study rooms

Sci Li has 1 independent study room available for individual use by students who request accommodations.  Students needing accommodation and space with reduced environmental distractions should contact Linda Hurteau (x3728 or
