North End Mentors
NEAT Mentors is a program that pairs Wesleyan students with kids living in the North End of Middletown, building one-on-one mentoring relationships. The pairs meet on a weekly basis (according to their own schedules) for a minimum of one hour. Every month all the mentor-mentee pairs come together for a group activity (such as hiking, baking, or soccer). The mentors also become a part of North End Action Team which is a neighborhood advocacy organization dedicated to the development of grassroots leadership.
This program is looking for committed Wesleyan students who like going on adventures with kids and who want to make a connection with their neighborhood.

Permission Slip
Every mentor needs to have a permission slip from the mentee's parents. If you have a car, you must photocopy your driver's license and insurance information for NEAT's insurance policy. You can do this at the Office of Community Service and leave it in Helen's box.
