Cisco VPN for Mac OS 10.6–10.9
Below are instructions for setting up VPN connectivity if you are using:
- Mac OS 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”)
- Mac OS 10.7 (“Lion”)
- Mac OS 10.8 (“Mountain Lion”)
- Mac OS 10.9 (“Mavericks”)
(If you are using Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” or below, use these instructions instead. How do you know? On your Mac, click the Apple menu in the upper-left, and select “About This Mac.”)
Click here to manually download the .dmg of the Cisco AnyConnect installer. You will be prompted for your Wesleyan credentials.
Double-click on the .dmg file after download, and then double-click on the vpn.pkg installer file in the resulting window, and follow the installation prompts.
The connection window will appear:
We highly recommend you enable local LAN access in order to maintain any local network connections:
Back at the connection window, click connect. Enter your Wesleyan username and password. At the next prompt, click Accept.
Your browser will open to a page that verifies you are connected:
When you’d like to disconnect your VPN connection, you can either click on the Disconnect button in the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client window, or simply quit the application.
