Departmental Printers/Copiers

Printing to a networked Ricoh copier/printer requires an installation on each computer.  A series of instructions have been created to allow users who choose to install the correct device on their own computer.

Secure Scan

This Ricoh line of machines allows users to scan secure documents and password protect them so that individual private scan folders are not necessary. To use this feature, follow the instructions in this step-by-step guide.

Secure Print

Similarly, users can send confidential print jobs to Ricoh devices and release them at the printer when picking up the print job.  There are slight variations in the versions of the print software, but the instructions below will guide you through this process.

PC

• Click File > Print…
• Click Printer: drop down menu. Choose your department’s Ricoh
• Click Properties
• Click drop down menu titled: Job Type and choose Locked Print
• Click Details and type a username to designate User ID (this can, but does not have to be your Wesleyan user name)
• Create a numeric password in the Password: field to use when picking up your job at the printer
• Click OK in all 3 print windows to print
• At the printer, press Printer button to left of the Touchscreen, then press Print Jobs button on the Touchscreen.
• Choose your job with your designated User ID, and press Print. When prompted, enter your numeric password and press Enter

Mac

• Click File > Print…
• Click Printer: drop down menu. Choose your department’s Ricoh
• Click drop down menu that reads: Copies & Pages. Choose Job Log
• For Job Type: choose Locked Print
• Type a username to designate User ID (this can, but does not have to be your Wesleyan user name)
• Create a numeric password in the Password: field to use when picking up your job at the printer
• Click Print
• At the printer, press Printer button to left of the Touchscreen, then press Print Jobs button on the Touchscreen.
• Choose your job with your designated User ID, and press Print. When prompted, enter your numeric password and press Enter
