PreCollege Study is a program of undergraduate Summer Session. Students entering their junior and senior years of high school in the fall participate in a residential cohort program with two dedicated Resident Advisors (RAs). Students in the program take two Summer Session courses (for credit), meet with a faculty mentor, and participate in Social Justice Training. PreCollege Resident Advisors are members of the Residential Life Staff at Wesleyan University and are directly supervised by an Area Coordinator with additional support from the PreCollege staff. Resident Advisors play an integral role in establishing a community environment conducive to maximum academic, personal and social development; maintaining healthy and safe living conditions; and providing overall support to the mission of Residential Life.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have full-time enrollment status at the University, and must have sophomore class standing by the date of employment. Applicants must be in good academic standing and good judicial standing (no points) at time of application. Applicants must commit to the following dates of employment: June 27, 2017 through August 5, in addition to 15 hours (each) between date of hire and May 20 to strategize programming with PreCollege Staff.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to students who have previous experience working as a counselor or other employee with high school aged overnight camps/experiences. Preference will be given to applicants with previous Residential Life experience.

Terms of Employment
ResLife student staff will adhere to all policies of the University. ResLife student staff must be United States citizens, permanent residents, or valid F-1/J-1 student visa holders. All ResLife student staff must reside in University housing during their contract period.
