Qualifications/Description: Unpaid Internship (7 hours per week): Student will learn about the overall administration of a multi-disciplinary arts center, while pursuing their own research interests. The intern attends weekly staff meetings, marketing committee meetings, and advance meetings with artists planning their exhibitions/performances at the CFA. Students will have the opportunity to select 8 performances/projects/exhibitions each semester that they will research in order to draft contextualizing articles for the CFA blog. Paid Internship (5 hours per week): Intern will work with the Director on administrative/research projects related to season planning, fund raising and marketing for the Center for the Arts. This includes grant proposal writing, grant report writing and artist research. Candidate must have proven administrative skills, excellent writing and research skills and have an ability to work in a fast paced environment with a variety of people. Must be resourceful and detail-oriented. Proficient in Word and Excel. Send cover letter, writing sample and resume to Pamela Tatge, Director, Center for the Arts, by Friday, September 6 at noon.
Department Hours: 10AM-6PM Hours/Week: 12 hours per week: 7 unpaid and 5 paid at $8.25/hour
