Qualifications/Description:

The Center for the Arts seeks a student with
excellent web skills to serve as the Creative Campus Intern for the
2009-2010 academic year. The student will be responsible for
archiving and disseminating information about Wesleyan’s Creative
Campus initiatives by working with ITS and CFA staff to create a
new, lively interactive site that will archive our work with the
Center for Creative Research, the Feet to the Fire initiative
(www.wesleyan.edu/feettothefire), and other collaborative campus
efforts. The intern will report to the CFA Director, and work with
CFA and ITS staff to create the site. Responsibilities include
assisting with the design of the site; gathering information and
writing segments for the site; loading information, images and video
onto the site; and creating protocols for maintaining the site.
Intern will create DVD compilations of upcoming CFA presentations to
be featured on the Box Office screens at Usdan and assist in the
creation of the newly redesigned CFA website. Intern will also
oversee documentation of current Creative Campus activities and take
on special projects as assigned. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon
Foundation
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in web design and website
maintenance including knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop,
XHTML and CSS. Experience in videotaping and editing including
knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro. Excellent writing skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with campus and
artist partners.
