Book artist and fine press printer Robin Price combines the highest levels of aesthetics, craftsmanship, and technique with risk-taking in her complex, exquisite books. Internationally known and based in Middletown, she embraces chance and collaboration in her art, allowing the unexpected to enter into both the creative process and the finished pieces.

This 25-year career retrospective exhibition celebrated Price's work from her beginnings as a strongly feminist printer, through her fine-press work in traditional formats and her most recent art, which is intensely collaborative and incorporates chance.

A catalogue raisonné of Price's work, also titled Counting on Chanceaccompanied the exhibition. All 2009-2010 members of the Friends of the Davison Art Center received this publication. It also is available for purchase.
