Alan Trachtenberg, Neil Gray Jr. Professor Emeritus, English and American Studies, Yale University, presents the Virgil and Juwil Topazio Lecture, "Recovery and Redemption in the Camera Eye: William Earle Williams’ New View of the American Civil War."  This talk is organized in conjunction with the Davison Art Center exhibition A Stirring Song Sung Heroic: African Americans from Slavery to Freedom, 1619 to 1865, on display through December 11, 2016. The Davison Art Center gallery hours will be extended to 5pm on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
